We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities. This role involves providing support and assistance with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring the well-being of our clients.
```Duties:```
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in various settings such as home care, assisted living, or hospice care.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication reminders, and mobility assistance.
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for individuals with disabilities.
- Implement individualized care plans and follow specific protocols as directed by supervisors.
- Foster social interaction and engage individuals in meaningful activities.
- Document observations, progress notes, and any incidents that occur during your shift.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to ensure the best possible care for our clients.
```Experience:```
- Previous experience in direct support or related fields such as childcare or social work is preferred.
- Familiarity with working with people on the autism spectrum is a plus.
- Ability to lift and assist with transferring individuals who may have limited mobility.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
